ABOUT ME

Mohammud Alam, MD

Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine

Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell

Attending Physician: North Shore University Hospital, Northwell Health.

A native of Bangladesh, Dr. Alam received his medical degree from Dhaka University (Mymensingh Medical College) in Dhaka. He got his postgraduate medical training in UK in Genito Urinary Medicine at the University of London. Dr. Alam completed postgraduate training in Internal Medicine at the Brookdale University Hospital, New York and Jersey Shore University Medical Center, New Jersey, then did his Infectious Disease fellowship at the Stony Brook University Hospital, Stony Brook, New York.

Dr. Alam also completed a two-year course in Medical Humanities at Drew University, New Jersey, during his residency. He is currently an attending physician at Northwell University Hospital in Plainview, New York, as well as the Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, New York. He is the medical director of Glen Cove Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in New York. His research interest is in Endocarditis and bacteremia, and he has published numerous articles in peer reviewed journals. Dr. Alam is the Program Director of Cordial Internal Medicine Board Review Course.

TARGET AUDIENCE

The Cordial Internal Medicine Board Review (CIMBR) course is designed for fellows and physicians who are within two years of their Internal Medicine certification or recertification exam.

 

Learners not taking the board exam will find that the course provides a comprehensive and practical update on common topics and challenges in Internal Medicine.
